An announcement made by Tripura CM to provide training for women

The Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr Manik Saha, announced drone training for women to boost the agricultural sector. This initiative will enable the rural women in Tripura to become skilful and stay updated with the latest technologies.

During the inauguration of the National Skill Training Institute for Women, CM Saha emphasized enabling awareness amongst rural women about the latest agricultural technologies. Furthermore, this training will teach women about the operation of drones and spraying fertilizers on fields to enhance efficiency in agriculture.

Training for Women: Additional Courses offered by Institution

This institute in Anandnagar at Agartala will empower women to become ambitious and get opportunities as salaried employees and self-employment. Additionally, the institute will make an expansion by offering courses like Cosmetology, Dressmaking, and Secretarial Practice in English under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS).

This initiative aligns with the Government’s initiative to introduce drone and stone technology in agricultural and agri-management sectors. This initiative by the Government will make agriculture inclusive and dynamic for women across rural areas.

Numerous courses are available under the Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS). These include courses like Catering and Hospitality, Computer Software Application, and Office Management, in addition to drone technology training offered by the institution.
