Subsidy on Solar Pumps: To provide farmers with 24-hour irrigation facilities, the government is offering subsidies on solar pumps. Under the PM Kusum Yojana, farmers can install solar-powered pumps at a lower cost. The scheme is active in many states, offering a 60% subsidy on solar pumps.
This year, the Rajasthan government has announced subsidies for 60,000 solar pumps in its budget. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made the announcement during the Finance and Appropriation Bill discussion.The number of subsidized pumps has increased from 50,000 to 60,000 to support farmers.

60% Subsidy: The Central and State Governments will each provide 30% subsidy on the cost of solar pumps.
Farmer’s Share: Farmers must pay 40% of the cost.
Bank Loan Option: Farmers can take a 30% loan from banks.
Own Contribution: Farmers need to pay 10% from their own funds.
Additional Benefit: SC/ST farmers will receive an extra ₹45,000 subsidy per solar pump.
Pump Capacity Limit: Subsidy is available for solar pumps up to 7.5 HP.
If a farmer installs a 10 HP pump, they must pay the extra cost.
Land Requirement: Farmers must own at least 0.4 hectares of land to apply.

Aadhar Card
Bhamashah Card or Jan Aadhaar Card
Land Jamabandi Copy (not older than six months)
Bank Account Passbook Copy
Irrigation Water Source Documents
Affidavit for No Agricultural Electricity Connection
Details of the Selected Solar Pump Supplier
