To facilitate hassle-free wheat sales, farmers are required to register beforehand. Several states have already begun the registration process for selling crops at government-approved MSP centers.

The Government of India fixes the MSP for various crops before the sowing season. For the 2025-26 Rabi crop marketing season, the MSP for wheat has been set at ₹2,450 per quintal, reflecting a ₹150 increase compared to last year.
Farmers in UP can register for wheat sales through multiple channels:
Once registered, payments will be processed via the PFMS portal and credited directly to farmer’s Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through NPCI mapping.
As per the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, by January 31, 2025, wheat sowing had covered 324.88 lakh hectares, 6.55 lakh hectares more than last year. A bumper harvest is anticipated due to the increased sowing area.
According to Commodity Online Mandi Bhaav, wheat prices in UP are currently:
National Average Wheat Price: ₹2,955 per quintal (₹505 above MSP)
The higher market prices indicate strong demand, making it essential for farmers to evaluate both government and open market options before selling their crops.
