The Chief Minister of Jharkhand has launched the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana, aiming to provide financial support to women in the state. The first installment of this scheme will be released on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, with Rs. 1,000 being credited directly to the bank accounts of eligible women. Under this scheme, each beneficiary woman will receive a total of Rs. 12,000 annually, with Rs. 1,000 distributed monthly.
On August 19, the first installment will be transferred to the accounts of eligible women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This initiative is part of the government's broader effort to support women from economically weaker sections, ensuring financial assistance reaches those in need.
According to reports, around 30 lakh women have already applied for the scheme. The government estimates that the number of beneficiaries could reach up to 48 lakh. The application process is ongoing, and the number of applicants may increase before Rakshabandhan. Initially, Rs. 1,000 will be transferred to 151 women on Rakshabandhan, with subsequent installments being released on the 15th of each month.

Women from Jharkhand can apply for the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana. Due to server issues, the application process has been modified. Applicants need to fill out the form and submit it to their local Anganwadi worker. The form will then be verified and submitted to Pragya Kendras, where it will be entered online.
