New Holland's Project Saksham empowers rural youth with automotive sales skills, fostering economic growth and creating opportunities for underprivileged communities.
In a significant move towards promoting skill development and empowering underprivileged youth in rural areas, New Holland, a renowned brand of CNH, has launched Project 'Saksham.' The initiative aligns with the National Skill Development Mission and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is conducted in collaboration with SEEDS - Social Empowerment & Economic Development Society.
Project Saksham aims to create a pool of skilled and certified automotive sales professionals specifically catering to the AG and automotive industry. The focus is on individuals with a minimum education level of 12th grade, aged 18 and above, residing in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra.
Sandeep Gupta, Sales Director of Agriculture Segment, CNH India, expressed his enthusiasm about the project, stating, "Our Project Saksham is committed to providing rural youth with relevant skills for the modern world. Through this initiative, we intend to equip them with the necessary skills that will enable possible placement opportunities, creating a positive impact on the economy."
The training program encompasses a comprehensive curriculum covering various aspects of Automotive Sales Assistant roles. From handling sales leads to closing sales pitches, effective communication, teamwork, and resolving customer queries, to after-sales activities, the participants gain practical experience under New Holland's authorized dealerships.
To kickstart the program, a Boot Camp for theory, product, and soft skill training was conducted in Samalkha, Haryana, from 6 to 8 February 2024. The Boot Camp serves as the foundation for the subsequent three-month practical training period, where participants will work closely with New Holland dealerships.
New Holland's commitment to empowering unemployed youth is evident through initiatives like LEAD and Hunar, which offer skill development and entrepreneurship training. These initiatives have already transformed 15,000 families in India, showcasing the brand's dedication to making a positive societal impact.
New Holland, known for its innovative agricultural solutions, offers a wide range of tractors, combine harvesters, and agricultural implements. These products are designed to enhance efficiency and productivity across various applications such as tillage, plantation, harvesting, post-harvesting, commercial applications, and haulage.
With Project Saksham, New Holland continues to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce and overall economic growth, fostering a brighter future for the underprivileged youth in rural India.
